"Occupy the Interzone" is my conceptual and architectural proposal for my Masters of Architecture thesis project at the Graduate School of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis. Inspired by the term "interzone", a word frequently associated with the Belgian designer Raf Simons, I elaborated on its definition, applying it to an interdisciplinary method of practice as well as an urban and spatial condition prevalent in St. Louis, Missouri. In the book, I identify an interzone in the city ripe for intervention, define spatial and architectural operations to encourage occupation and propose a radical new program that will transform not only the site but the city as we know it today.
